What We're Doing

We're starting off in Pheonix on Friday. Transportation is provided from the airport to our first Airbnb stay. If you arrive early in the day you're welcome to explore the area on your own or link up with your host, Megan, and the rest of the group and keep your luggage in our rented transit van(s) until check-in time.

Friday check-in is 3:00 pm and we're only 10 min away from PHX. We'll get settled, freshen up, and if you'd like we'll head out for dinner and drinks nearby, then head back to our Airbnb. You're welcome to enjoy the Pheonix nightlife if you'd like, just be ready to rock and roll by our check-out.

Saturday check-out is 10:00 am and we'll have a few hours in the morning to explore downtown Pheonix, do a little shopping, grab a coffee or a bit to eat, etc. before we begin our road trip!

If you can only catch a late flight on June 2nd or maybe you got delayed (hopefully not) and rebooked on a later flight, PHX airport pickup is available anytime on June 2nd through noontime on June 3rd.

Saturday at 12:00 noon we're hitting the road and headed north until we arrive in Sedona at The Devil's Bridge Trail Head. This is an easy hike, about 1hr 45min roundtrip and 4mi total. Devil's bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the area and the photo op on top of this iconic red rock is breathtaking and so worth it!

Once we've soaked up the beautiful sights of Devil's Bridge, we'll drive to our Airbnb in the mountains of Flagstaff. Sit around the gas fire pit, and enjoy the hot tub while gazing at the stars; foosball, darts, pool, and ping pong await us in the game room. The kitchen and dining area are something to be admired so we're totally eating in tonight!

All aboard on Sunday! We're leaving our Airbnb by 8:30 am (we've got this fly place booked for 2 nights so don't worry about checking out) to grab a quick bite on the road as we head to Williams where we'll catch an unforgettable train ride. Watch as the terrain changes from the desert, to prairie, to pine until you are met with the majestic views of The Grand Canyon. Aboard the air-conditioned train, you're welcome to kick back and relax in your seat, explore the other cars, or grab a snack and drink on the cafe caboose. Entertainers and musicians bring the Old West to life, and we may even witness a bank robbery on board.

We'll arrive at the Historic Village Depot around 11:45 and will have 3+ hours to explore the South Rim of The Grand Canyon National Park. You can choose to have a sit-down meal or a grab-and-go lunch. Explore the Grand Canyon on foot or rent an e-bike, hit up the unique gift and tourist shops.

We'll meet back up at the Historic Village Depot by 3:15, the train departs at 3:30. We'll arrive at the Williams Depot around 5:45 and we'll grab takeout along our way, to enjoy back at our Airbnb.

Monday check-out is 10:00 am and we're heading north to Page, along the border of Utah. We've got two epic adventures that will leave you feeling like you've visited another planet. We'll explore Antelope Canyon, the most famous slot canyon formation in the world, shaped by millions of years of water and erosion. It's an easy trail, about 20min roundtrip and .6mi total.  We're also exploring Horseshoe Bend, a true natural beauty and panoramic spectacle, where the blue waters of the Colorado River have cut a 1,000ft deep, 270° horseshoe-shaped bend in Glen Canyon. It's an easy trail, about 35min roundtrip and 1.5mi total.

We'll stop for some authentic, local cuisine for lunch between Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend. Check-in for our Airbnb is 4:00 pm. Enjoy this adorable southwestern-themed stay complete with a hot tub and gas fire pit under the stars; pool table, arcade games, ping pong, and poker table. The property is so perfect we're eating in tonight so we can enjoy it all!

Tuesday check-out is 10:00 am and we'll begin our trek south. Just beyond Flagstaff we'll take an afternoon break to explore a creekside vineyard, enjoy a wine tasting, and fill our bellies with charcuterie and other delightful treats. We'll continue south to Scottsdale and check in to our evening oasis, complete with a pool and the best boho vibes, around 4:00 pm. Check out the Desert Botanical Garden with us if you're up for it, it's absolutely gorgeous and there are so many sights you'll want to photograph. We'll head out to our last dinner together to celebrate our wild road trip adventure through Arizona, cheers!

Wednesday check-out is 10:00 am and airport transportation is provided that morning, from the Airbnb which is only 10 min away from PHX. If you have a later flight, here's your chance to grab breakfast or lunch, along with all those last-minute souvenirs.
